In the meantime the band released the album “More Miles Per Hour“ featuring acclaimed Jazzers Ernst-Ludwig Petrowsky and Uschi Brüning from East Berlin (Konnex Records, 2005).

Songs in Turkish have been part of the repertoire since Sercan Özökten joined the band in 2008. The band performed at the Cologne Birlikte festivals in 2015 and 2016. More gigs were played, some with guests like Ata Canani, Elektro Hafiz and Kent Coda.

As part of the celebrations to mark the band's fortieth anniversary The Absurd recorded more than a dozen new tracks in 2024 released on their own label Footnotes as a vinyl double album on January 3, 2026. Some of them feature Gizem Nur Copçuoğlu (voc, oud) from Istanbul. It is called: Back To Differ.
